Team Information / Cost
Team Organization
Golden Wave Swim Team (GWST) is a USA Swimming program.
The coaching staff is:
- Mike Smith - Head Coach and team owner
- Mica Smith - Assistant Coach
Year-Round Competitive Program
Golden Wave Swim Team supports an environment in which swimmers of all levels may develop their full potential from beginner to national levels.
Our competitive program is designed to enable each of our swimmers to systematically progress from the beginning to elite levels of performance by establishing clearly defined priorities, training plans, and performance standards for each level of swimming instruction.
Expectations
All swimmers are expected to honor their commitment to attend practices and exhibit appropriate behavior at all times at practices and meets. We are guests at the practice facilities. We must conduct ourselves as such at all times.
Safety Rules and Practice Guidelines
Golden Wave Swim Team members are expected to follow the safety rules established for practices and meets by Coach Smith and the meet safety chairman.

- No pushing and horseplay on deck.
- Never go under the pool solar covers.
- When going off the backstroke, double check to see if clear.
